The experience page says you can own more than 20 vehicles, boats, and helicopters. You do not need one of each. Pick the seat that matches the trip.
First vehicle
Buy the 4x4 for the 150 listed in 2026 starter videos. It is the map. Without it, Ronograd's road network is the real enemy. Leave color and upgrade options alone until you have medical supplies and an optic.
Park outside the objective. If the truck dies, the walk home is the tax.
Larger ground vehicles show up in two different jobs:
- Transport you bought, for a squad or a longer road.
- Supply trucks you steal on Ronograd and deliver to the FOB. Those are loot, not a garage purchase. See Ronograd routes.
On Sawang, the Typhoon notes say local pickups, vans, ATVs, and jet skis can be commandeered. That is separate from the three inflatable boats named in the same notes.
Boats
Typhoon is the update that made water a normal route. The changelog excerpt names:
- 7-meter rigid-hull inflatable boat
- Rigid Hull Inflatable Commando Craft (RHICC)
- RHIB 530
Use a boat when the quest marker is across water or the coastal road is the exposed part. A boat is not armor. Stop short of a strongpoint and finish on foot, the same way you abandon the 4x4 outside a Ronograd gate.
A community count of five new boats is wider than the three names in the excerpt. If the terminal lists another hull, the terminal wins.
Helicopters
Documented pilot defaults, also repeated in the flight tutorial:
- Sit in the pilot seat with F.
- Let the rotors spin up.
- Hold Space and climb until a mistake will not put you in a roof.
- Tap W to pitch forward. S pitches back. A and D roll. Q and E yaw.
- X autohovers when you need the aircraft to stop drifting.
- To land, bleed the forward speed, level the disc, and hold Shift to descend. Keep holding the descent after touchdown until the aircraft settles. A hovering machine on a ridge will slide.
Left Alt switches mouse steering. Fast rope (R in the pilot guide) and countermeasures (T) require those systems on the airframe.
Aircraft called out for Typhoon:
| Airframe | What changed or arrived |
|---|---|
| HR 530F | Light utility. Replaces the legacy MH-6 in the notes |
| HR 530F Skirmisher | Light attack |
| UH-1N and Model 212 | Medium utility additions |
| UH-60V | Removable pilot doors, better glass on the no-turret option, more seats |
| CH-53D | Ramp GAU-21 option, more seats, interior detail |
| CH-47D | More seats |
Rotors and other components have their own damage. A hit on the rotor system is a reason to leave, not a reason to hover and argue. If a repair prompt appears, use that prompt.
Fly around anti-air and mortars instead of parking over a fort. The flight tutorial's landing example leaves the aircraft away from the base defenses on purpose.
Which seat to take
- Solo learning: 4x4.
- Squad on a road: a larger ground vehicle you can afford to lose.
- Ronograd logistics: a captured supply truck, then back to the FOB.
- Sawang coast or river: a named inflatable, or a commandeered local boat.
- A long island crossing once someone can actually fly: a utility helicopter, landed outside the fight.
Keybinds can be changed under the vehicle section of the options. Operation Typhoon refreshed that options page.
