These are the default on-foot, weapon, medical, driving, and helicopter binds documented for Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5. The game lets you rebind. If a key does nothing, open the control settings before you assume the feature is gone.
On foot
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| W A S D | Move |
| Shift | Sprint |
| Space | Jump |
| C | Crouch |
| X | Prone |
| Q / E | Lean left / right while held |
| F | Interact, pick up, board |
| G | Inventory |
| M | Map in Openworld. In PvP the same key is described as the leaderboard |
| Tab, hold | Radial menu: squads, medical, weapon accessories, vehicle functions |
| N | Toggle night vision, only if NVGs are equipped |
| Mouse wheel | Change between first and third person in Openworld |
Crouch and prone lower your silhouette and steady aim. Lean instead of stepping out past cover. Sprint is loud relative to a walk; use it between compounds, not inside a room you have not cleared.
Weapons
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 / 2 / 3 | Primary, secondary, melee |
| 4 | Tools and throwables in a utility slot |
| Left mouse | Fire |
| Right mouse | Aim |
| R | Reload |
| V | Switch fire mode. Hold V for the safety |
| Page Up / Page Down | Change zero on optics that support it |
| H | Inspect the weapon |
Fire mode matters more than a new rifle. Use semi-auto or a short burst past close range. A safety that is still on feels like a broken gun. Check V before you blame the server.
Lights and lasers are not stuck in the Tab menu. In the gunsmith, match a remote switch and the device to the same channel, then assign a key on the switch. Documented channel keys include Y, U, I, J, K, and L. The customization tutorial walks through that link. A developer clip on the same subject is referenced from that tutorial.
Healing and downed state
Open the Tab radial and choose Medical. You can use a medical item on yourself only while injured and not already bleeding out. To treat someone else, stand close until the prompt appears, open Tab on them, and use your supply. The screen edge tints green during a revive.
| Item | Listed heal | Extra rule |
|---|---|---|
| Dressing | 5 HP | Use it first |
| Bandage | 10 HP | After a dressing, the bandage also applies an extra 15 HP |
A 2026 beginner tutorial describes the same order: dressing, then bandage, for 30 HP total, versus 10 HP from a bandage alone. Both items are 1x1 and listed at 5 g, and both come from the armory.
If damage downs you, holding Space slows the bleed for up to one minute so a teammate can arrive. A sniper shot, an exploding vehicle you are sitting in, or a fall that reaches 0 HP is described as an instant death rather than a down. Teammates can also drag a downed player with F, then revive from the Tab medical list once the spot is safer.
Bring dressings and bandages out of the base. Do not plan on vitamins.
Vehicles and aircraft
On foot binds change when you sit in a seat.
Ground vehicle defaults that stay consistent across the control tables: F to enter or leave, W A S D to drive, Space as the handbrake. Horn, indicators, and emergency lights exist in the vehicle bind list and can be moved.
Helicopter, pilot seat:
- Hold Space to increase collective and climb. Wait until the rotors are up before you lift.
- Hold Shift to decrease collective and descend.
- W / S pitch the nose. A / D roll. Q / E yaw.
- X toggles autohover.
- Left Alt toggles mouse steering.
- Fast rope and countermeasures only work if that helicopter was bought with those systems. The pilot guide lists R for the rope and T for countermeasures.
Gunner seat: fire and aim as usual, R to reload, G for inventory.
Climb before you pitch forward. Autohover is how you stop a drift, not how you land on a slope. The full startup is in vehicles and helicopters.
Squads
The Tab squad menu can join a public color squad: Red, Orange, Blue, Green, or Yellow. Use it when a public Ronograd server is already clearing a compound and you would rather follow than solo the gate.
Controller layouts exist. Xbox equivalents in the control tables include the view button for the map, the bumpers for lean, Y held for the camera change, and the D-pad for weapon slots. Confirm the in-game controller page after Operation Typhoon, because the options menu was refreshed in that update.
